Position Title Asset Inventory Clerk

The Asset Inventory Clerk provides clerical support in acquiring, tracking, and recording the client’s fixed assets (Electrical, Mechanical and Utilities) in a manner that allows for sound management of the client’s asset investment. Assists in administering the inventory system by assigning property numbers; barcodes, and maintaining associated property records in the CMMS asset management system or equivalent database.
Adds controlled and capitalized assets to the fixed asset database. Enters straightforward information (i.e., asset number, class code, acquisition date, simple description and historical cost). May enter additional information as required.
Affixes inventory tags to designated assets and equipment. Replaces damaged asset tags.
Maintains perpetual inventory records by gathering inventory data, completing required forms/logs and entering, deleting and correcting inventory. May maintain pending fixed asset files.
Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports as required by department
Conducts data entry input and generates reports as required. Also, creates and maintains spreadsheets, presentation slides and other databases as required.
Instills a safety first mentality with respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries
High School Diploma or equivalent
Familiar with barcoding, equipment lists, service cycles and associated preventative maintenance (PM) procedures
Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) such as SAP, MAXIMO, etc.
Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
Customer Service experience
Experience working within a Facilities Management environment
Two or more years of Administrative Support/Data Entry related to Facilities Maintenance Programs
One to three years of working computer experience (data entry)
Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or similar software applications
