CACI International SAP Basis Administrator in Fort Detrick, Maryland
The SAP Basis Administrator shall provide SAP Basis support for a DoD SAP-based medical logistics system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The SAP Basis Administrator will support the SAP instance by monitoring interface connections, upgrading SAP software, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring systems are operating at optimal performance.
Provide support for SAP ERP Central Component (ECC), Business Intelligence (BI), Process Integration (PI) and SAP Solution Manager
Familiarity with ABAP language, MQ Series, SAP transaction codes, Smart Batch scheduler is highly recommended.
Hands-on SAP technical knowledge and skills to monitor and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
Provide technical support in a VM environment.
Install and upgrade software; monitor and improve system performance, and coordinate with the SAP Online Service System and Early Watch Services.
Provide database and security assistance, and have working knowledge of the transport management system (TMS).
Provide implementation, test, and other support in the SAP environments during upgrades and/or implementation of support packages.
Perform system recovery and restore tasks in the event of a disaster or data loss.
Install, document, and maintain new versions of server software, Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), patches, etc. Ensure administration of all IAVAs within federal policy and guidelines.
Check daily logs in all SAP systems for Oracle database growth, programming failure dumps, and/or failed batch jobs.
Utilize SAP transactions to validate and monitor inbound and outbound IDOC data, create IDOC data, and when required, reprocess data in support of the MQ Series and NEON Formats and Rules.
Plan, configure and maintain SAP systems/ databases needed for a remote site in accordance with Contingency of Operation (COOP) requirements.
Familiar with SAPRouter communication settings to connect different networks.
Must possess excellent communication skills and ability to work in a remote/ distributed team environment with minimal guidance.
Websphere MQ knowledge is a plus.
Support after-hours scheduled downtime for maintenance and upgrades.
Monitor and provide detailed analysis of SAP Early Watch reports on a monthly basis. Analysis will include recommendations on system performance tuning, security enhancements and potential development improvements.
A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or other related scientific or technical discipline is required
Minimum 7-10 years SAP Basis experience
Must have or be able to obtain NACLC clearance
Must have or be able to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification or higher prior to start date
Must be a US Citizen
Education and Experience:
Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and 7-10 years of related experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other government audits.
Experience with SAP Solution Manager and ChaRM desired.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
